Disclosure of information by customer:
It is imperative that you share any known health issues, recent vet visits or history of groom issues so your Groomer can watch for warning signs of trouble.
If you fail to disclose information about any allergies and/or skin conditions, Groomer will not be held responsible for any irritation, patchiness, abrasions or hair loss that may arise due to the grooming process.
If you fail to disclose information regarding any physical and/or medical conditions (such as elbow or hip dysplasia, epilepsy etc.), Groomer will not be held responsible for any injury incurred during the grooming process.
It is the customer's responsibility to notify Groomer of any new and existing medical information for your pet.
Groomer may uncover evidence of a health issue while grooming your pet and will always advise you of any further recommended actions, i.e. visit to the vet, dietary requirements, etc. The client agrees that Groomer is not liable for any pre-existing conditions and problems found during grooming, and the pet owner agrees to pay for all medical treatment incurred due to such.
No Shows & Cancellations:
Cancel your reservation 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so, will incur $25 fee. If consistent no shows & last minute cancellations, I may refuse your future appointments and charge for full appointment fee.
Late pick up:
Please contact me right away and let me know that you are running behind.
Fleas & Ticks:
If fleas and/or ticks are found on your pet during the process, treatment to remove your pet’s fleas and/or ticks is mandatory and an additional charge will apply at the owner's cost. This is not only to remove your pet’s unwanted pests, but to prevent them from transferring to other pets in the salon, as well as to avoid infestation in the salon.
Aggressive & Extra Handling Pets :
Owner must inform Groomer if your pet(s) may bite, have bitten, or show signs of aggression towards people, other pets or specific grooming procedures. Muzzles may be used if necessary. A handling fee may be applied in addition to the regular grooming charge for aggressive or difficult to groom pets. Groomer reserves the right to refuse/stop services for such pet(s) at any time before or during the grooming process. This is for the pet’s safety, as well as for the Groomer’s safety.
Matted Pets:
Pets with matted coats need extra attention during their grooming session. A “De-matting Fee” will apply to all matted pets. Mats can be very difficult to remove, and may require the pets to be shaved. When necessary, removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts or abrasions due to warts, moles or skin folds trapped in the mats. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pet’s skin allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow, causing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. In some cases pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. It is the owner’s duty to maintain their pet’s coat between professional grooms. As the pet’s owner you agree that Groomer shall not be held liable for any cuts/nicks/grazes or any post groom effects caused by removing a matted/neglected coat. These effects may include, but are not limited to the following: itchiness, skin redness, or self-inflicted irritation/abrasions from excessive rubbing, licking or scratching.
Vaccinations:
All pets must be up to date on all vaccinations including Rabies for dogs and cats. No exceptions. Please send a copy of vet’s invoice with expiration of all vaccines shown as a proof to julia.thegroomerforcatsanddogs@gmail.com or fill out the form on website https://www.juliathegroomer.com/in-take-form.
Media and Social Media Release:
I hereby authorize the use of photos, video and/or information related to my pet’s experience at Yuliya Patapava. I understand my pet may be used in publications including electronic, audio visual, promotional literature, advertising, community presentations, media / social media, and/or in similar ways. My consent is freely given as a public service without expecting payment.
I release this establishment and their respective employees, offers and agents from any and all liability which may arise from the use of such news, media stories, promotional materials, written articles, videos and/or photographic images.
